Summary0001409: Issues with iCal 5.0 MacOS 10.7
Description

I used to configure shared calenders: User admin shares a calender "RZ" to user litauer (read/write). This calender is shown in iCal as delegate ("Stellvertreter" in german). Worked fine with iCal 4.x and MacOS 10.6.x

Now this delegated calender is shown twice in the list of calenders (see image Calendars here http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/1449121/1/iCal?h=9a5393 ): Once as delegated calendar, and once as a personal calendar.

When iCal tries to sync this calendar I get

"Der Zugriff auf Account „Admin Administrator“ ist nicht gestattet.
Antwort des Servers: „403“ an Vorgang CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation"

Taking a look into sogo's logfile shows:

So I think this is similar to bug http://mtn.inverse.ca/revision/diff/ffb403989e64c7ca37321c15ab24b50155dc2f68/with/fe50cf1e82dc1e3027fc400eb2f405261b9ad9f3

I can work with this shared calender if I switch the delegated one to offline. Then the second instance (shown in the list of personal calendars) works fine - until the next synchronisation retry.

Update:

This seems to be an issue with Ical on Lion and users having read/write access to delegated calendars - not just read.

The error that shows up is:

Dropped from the 1.3.10 target.

We have done a good amount of work but it still isn't perfect.

Maybe its just a "bug" in your vhost config? mine is now working exceptionally good. you might wanna have a look at my post in another bug -> 0001526

I suspend this ticket for now.

iCal 5 is terribly broken. It randomly shows the delegation tab for no apparent reasons, even with Darwin Calendar server.

We won't put more efforts for iCal 5.
