Summary0003020: Outlook 2013 Activesync downloads e-mails very slow
Description

Set up Outlook 2013 with activesync. Start Outlook and Outlook says "Waiting for server response". All folders are there but no e-mails are shown. No errors either.
When looking at sogo log: tail -f /var/log/sogo/sogo.log | grep <username>

I see that there is some movement in approx 5 minute intervals. Mailbox is 3,5G in size.

Sending mail works - recipients get e-mails sent from that account.

Steps To Reproduce

Add account with large mailbox in Outlook 2013 with ActiveSync

Additional Information

Users with small mailbox do not have such issue.

Try reducing SOGoMaximumSyncWindowSize in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf - set it to 25 or 50.

Left Outlook to just sit overnight (hoped it would sync everything). Still can't read any e-mails because Outlook won't show any. Also there is no SOGoMaximumSyncWindowSize setting in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf.

This is not good.

Put SOGoMaximumSyncWindowSize = 25; and also tried with SOGoMaximumSyncWindowSize = 50; in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf

Created even new profile in Outlook 2013, but no change whatsoever. Can see folders, but no mails in folders in Outlook. Webmail is OK and IMAP account in Outlook 2013 works fine.

Which IMAP server are you using? What exact version?

Also, try to do:

telnet localhost 143
. CAPABILITY

where "localhost" is the server running your IMAP software.

Using Cyrus. Sogo documentation says that for large mailboxes it is needed to increase "maxword" to 2M in Cyrus imapd.conf
Did all that. Still can't see mails in large mailbox in Outlook 2013 with activesync.
