Summary0002834: Problem updating single instance of a repeating event
Description

On receiving an event update for a single instance of a repeating event, the instance updates correctly if you 'Accept' (i.e. respond as 'attending') but fails in various ways if instead you respond in any other way.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Remote user creates a repeating event and invites you.
  2. You accept/tentative/add to calendar/whatever the invitation so that it appears on your calendar.
  3. Remote user changes the time of one instance of the event (e.g. makes it an hour later)
  4. If you:
    a) 'Accept' - the event instance updates correctly.
    b) 'Add to calender' - SOGo fails with a 409 error. It tries to add it as a distinct event and fails due to the UID clash?
    c) Anything other than 'Accept' or 'Add to calender - No errors. The instance is updated in terms of attendance, but the time of the instance is not updated. If you move to a different email, and then back to the event update email, you can action it over again! When you action it the second time, the event time is updated.
Additional Information

I don't think this is a backend problem. The same scenario using Thunderbird+Lightning with a SOGo-served CALDAV calendar works correctly.
