Summary0003680: Windows 10 People app shows only primary address book when synced with Active Sync
Description

The Windows 10 People (integrated contacts) app does not support folders via Active Sync.
These are however supported by the integrated calendar and mail app.
Thus, the result is that only the personal address book is synced via ActiveSync, all other contacts do not appear on Windows 10 native apps.
On the other hand side, calendar sync works very well, with all calenders being displayed separately.

In Tine2.0 forums, this issue has also been discussed (see link below). They suggest for Win10 clients to merge all contacts during sync as if the device would not support folders, but sync folders separately for calendars and mail.

Steps To Reproduce
  • Create SOGo account with at least to address books
  • Populate address books with contacts
  • Sync with Win10 integrated apps via Active Sync

Only the contents of the personal address book will appear in the Win 10 people app.
Calendar & Mail sync is working as expected.

That is an error in Windows 10 not in SOGo.
Therefore changing this to "feature request"

BTW:
Your requested enhancement is only a solution, if you have small global address books.
In our case you would have to synchronize 18000 contacts :-)

Sorry that I did not express clearly what I meant.
I was not referring to the global address book (ldap), but to shared address books of other users. I think these typically contain less than 18000 contacts :-)

Still, it is not possible to sync them into the Windows 10 native app.

It's now possible to "merge folders" in SOGo.
