SOGo stores the database hostname together with table references inside a database table (OCSFolderInfoURL
). As mentioned in the Installation Guide, it is best practice to add a local alias name to your /etc/hosts
file, and using this in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf
instead of the actual name of your server or localhost. Moving the database to another host becomes much easier.
If you haven’t followed this practice, you will need to update the references to the database hostname once you have copied your database to a different host (using pg_dump/pg_restore
or mysqldump/mysql
). You can update your hostname, username, and or password using the following SQL query:
update sogo_folder_info set \
c_location = replace(c_location, 'OLD_PARAMETER', 'NEW_PARAMETER'), \
c_quick_location = replace(c_quick_location, 'OLD_PARAMETER', 'NEW_PARAMETER'), \
c_acl_location = replace(c_acl_location, 'OLD_PARAMETER', 'NEW_PARAMETER');
Make sure to also update the database URLs in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf
.
